We arrived at the edge of the Snake River in the moonlight. With the help of a headlamp and some warm gloves we managed to get these awesome lanterns hung and lit to provide an ethereal and magical mood for our shoot. I brought Nicole Maxfield of Cole Maxfield Photography along to not only help set up, but to help me keep my cool out in the moonlit wilderness. Nicole was on high alert as we worked in the darkness. We tried not to think about the possibility of being mauled by a Moose or something...but the topic seemed to keep coming up with every hoot of an owl in the trees above.
Soon we were joined by our makeup and hair team and dedicated models. I am SO grateful for everyone that was involved in this shoot! Mariah Kimball was up at 3:30 AM to start preparing for this shoot. That is CRAZY dedication and passion right there. That girl is going places!
Our models braved the cold as sun slowly rose and graced us with beautiful tendrils of light streaming between the branches and brambles around us. It was a truly magical setting. I loved the idea of having a wedding ceremony at sunrise. The symbolism of new beginnings would just be spectacular! And after the ceremony everyone could have breakfast, take a siesta and then party party party for the rest of the day and into the night. Who's with me?!
